Snowy Central park
In this video I am showing how to create perspective in a snow scene and brush works for the rock formation.
The major difference in technique applied between the background and the foreground rocks is the application of paints. I want the background to be blurry without any hard edges, so I use wet-on-wet technique and paint the cloudy sky and the distant foliage at once with colors of less intensity. The key here is to get enough water on paper, use enough amount of paint with a large brush and paint everything at once. On the other hand, I use dry-on-dry for the foreground rocks to bring out the texture of the paper, and of course the color is much more intense than that of the background.
The contrast between the soft, blurry background and rocks with hard edges in the foreground and the differences in the intensity of colors are creating the sense of depth in this painting.

your paintings are beautiful. Thank You
