Snowy Central Park #14

The first image is the one I did just a few days ago..

Again I paid more attention to the branches…

These two are of the same size…

and I am doing a bigger version of this painting right now.

I like the color scheme and the misty feeling of the lower image

and the branches in the upper image is better

I hope I can combine the two in the bigger painting.

  • Joseph,

I was looking at some of your work on WC and just love the misty feeling you are getting in your paintings… I watched your “you tube” clip on the “Snowy Central Park” it was very good! Because it is a painting focused on the foreground, you don’t go into as much of that misty quality that I find so appealing in your work. Would love to see you do one similar of the “Snowy Central park #12″ or “Emerging Spring” or any of these that has a farther view…Keep up the good work! Hope you enjoy your visit to Taiwan.

I really love the effect of Chinese brush painting in your watercolor paintings. It is well incorporated into your watercolor paintings but not limiting the watercolor side of paint applications, such as broad, varigated wet into wet washes. You have really mastered both and put them into your own style. Hope to see more of your painting clips on You Tube!
