This series is somewhat avant-garde to me.
It’s about painting a modern setting while borrowing traditional Chinese painting style. It’s also about propagation of thousands year old Chinese philosophy using modern subject. Furthermore, it’s the marriage between natural beings and human object. In the end, I want my painting to have the reflective, calm quality of Chinese painting, allowing viewers to find a spot of breathing room within a busy city.
